Process Serving for Individuals
As a discreet process server for individuals, we handle divorce, family law, and personal legal matters throughout Central Florida.
If you’re serving divorce papers, a family law petition, or another personal legal matter, you don’t need to navigate this alone — and in most cases, you legally can’t hand the papers to the other person yourself. YM Doc Services handles personal and family law service of process with discretion, clear communication, and a straightforward flat-rate price, so you can focus on what matters instead of the paperwork.

What We Serve for Individuals
- Divorce and dissolution of marriage papers
- Child support and family court documents
- Small claims and civil summonses
- Restraining orders and protective orders
- Name change and probate-related documents
When You Need Us
- You’re filing for divorce and need your spouse served
- You have a small claims case and need the other party served
- You need a protective order served quickly
- You’re not sure how to have someone served and want it done right the first time
A note on divorce specifically: Florida law doesn’t allow spouses to serve each other in a divorce, even in situations where substituted service on a family member is otherwise permitted — a neutral certified process server or the sheriff has to complete service. That’s exactly what we’re here for.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can my spouse serve me the divorce papers themselves?
No. Florida law requires a sheriff or certified process server for divorce — a spouse cannot serve the other spouse, since divorce is considered an adversarial case. (Fla. Stat. Section 48.031(2)(a))
What if I don’t know where the other person lives?
Our skip tracing service can locate a current address before we attempt service.
How much does it cost?
Pricing starts at $80 for routine service (5-7 business days) up to $200 for same-day service. See full pricing.
Will I get proof for the court?
Yes — a signed, court-ready affidavit of service is delivered to you within 24 hours of completed service.
